Direct Obstetrics Consulting, PLLC (DOC) is a physician owned company providing in-house Ob/Gyn hospitalists in or near Houston, Texas.
Hospital Site
We work with hospitals and health care systems to offer complete nocturnist Ob/Gyn Services weeknights and 24 hour availability weekends.
Nature of position
We offer 1099 positions and W2 positions.
Shift requirements
Physicians are asked to sign up for a minimum of 3-4 shifts per month for 1099 physicians and full time for W2 positions. The Company does not guarantee any particular amount of work for 1099 employees.
Job Duties
While working, the physician is responsible for:
- admit and/or manage all L&D and postpartum patients
- evaluate L&D triage patients
- respond to ED or floor consults,
- consider requested transfers
- place discharge orders, summary notes, and any required medications requirements for patients anticipated to go home the next day.
- perform indicated cesarean sections or emergent Gyn surgery
Holidays
Holiday pay provided with further additional pay for high demand holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
Pay Rate
Hourly rates range between $185-250/hour for 1099 and $150-$165 for W2 employees.
